Come to the Kermesse – support the IWK!

Razzmatazz for Kids will be performing a free show on Saturday, September 6, at the Kermesse, the fun children’s fair in support of the IWK Children’s Hospital, on the hospital grounds, 5850 University Avenue, Halifax.  Our show is at 10:30, and the Kermesse runs 10:00 – 3:00.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

June is Child Care Awareness Days

June is Child Care Awareness Days, and in honour of the wonderful work done by child care providers, a flag was raised at Province House in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Sandy Greenberg of Razzmatazz for Kids entertained 100 young attendees, who hopped, clapped, and sang along to the kid-friendly music.

Suitcase Full of Songs available for download!

It’s easy to have some Razzmatazz songs for your very own!  Just go to the Music page on the Razzmatazz for Kids website (razzmatazz.ns.ca/music) and click on the link to cdbaby.com.  Or, you can go directly to CD Baby (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/razzmatazz).  Once there, you have the choice to purchase downloads of individual songs from the CD “Suitcase Full of Songs” or the whole album.  You can also order the CD to be delivered right to your door.  From banjo to violin, blues to a square dance, waltz to up-beat Klezmer, calypso to Cajun, this music will spark children’s imagination and be a pleasure for parents to listen to.

Reminder – FREE SHOWS on Sunday, February 23, at Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market

The award-winning RAZZMATAZZ FOR KIDS will get you singing, smiling, hugging, clucking, clapping, and laughing at their concert of interactive children’s music on Sunday, February 23, 1:00 – 3:00, during “Winter Picnic” at the Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market. Admission is free. Razzmatazz has toured in Canada and the United States, and a video of their song, “Going to my Grandma’s”, has played on Sesame Street. They were also honored to be invited to perform in Ottawa for First Ladies Aline Chrétien and Laura Bush, along with school children. The director of the Fredkid Fair in Fredericton had this comment about Razzmatazz: “You certainly know how to engage an audience-WOW! Your show was fantastic.”

Other activities at “Winter Picnic”, which runs from 10:00 – 3:00 at the Halifax, Nova Scotia, Seaport Farmer’s Market, are a pancake and sausage breakfast, ice sculpting, jump castle, balloon twisting, soup’s on, promotions, and music by Fine Tuners.

Hi Everyone – it’s give-away time again! 

I have four passes (each is good for up to four people) for the advance screening of Walking with Dinosaurs, The 3D Movie, Saturday, Dec. 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Cineplex Park Lane in Halifax.  Please leave a comment on the website (www.razzmatazz.ns.ca), email me (razz@razzmatazz.ns.ca), call me if it’s before 9 p.m. (902-455-8544) or message or post on Facebook if you can go and would like the tickets.  I’ll get back in touch to let you know if you are one of the lucky ones, and to arrange for you to get the pass.
